WHMIS: Occupational Health and Safety
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a Canada-wide system that has been designed to provide employers and workers guidlines to identify and safely manage hazardous workplace materials. It is legislated by both the federal and provincial jurisdictions and it emphasizes the fact that workers have the right to know. Under this system, employers and suppliers can provide information regarding hazardous materials in three ways: 1. Labels on containers of all hazardous materials 2. Materials safety data sheets (MSDS) providing detailed hazard and precautionary information about all materials 3.Worker education programs explaining how to use the hazardous material information.
This course is designed for workers who have to handle hazardous products in workplaces. This course will help workers safely manage hazardous products to ensure their safety and health.

TESTING:
Quizzes - All quizzes must be passed with a 100% to proceed forward to the next lesson.
Final Exam- Final Exam must be passed with a 70% to pass the course. The final exam can be taken three times if necessary.
